Daniel Lei Studios

When they said in their website that they can guarantee tears and goosebumps, they weren’t over promising ! This blog is already filled with pictures taken by them. They are easy to spot. If it looks good, its probably their pictures =)

We were looking at the photos they took during our wedding, and it’s really hard to choose among the many great takes. There are so many good shots! They really worked hard (or not, since they really know what they are doing) to capture moments, not just images.  The angles of their shots give a whole new drama to something everyone would have normally seen. The portraits they make did not just make us look good… it made what’s best in us seem to jump out of the picture. Here they are in action:

And as with most weddings, one of the highlights is the same day edit (SDE), a video presentation of what happened during the day. But before they flashed the video though, they showed a photoslide presentation. Daniel Lei’s team selected the most beautiful shots and showcased it on the reception. The shots coupled in with the music made many guests teary eyed.

Watch the slide show in this post.
Tears: Check.

The slideshow could not have prepared us enough for an awesomely made SDE.  The video was so dreamy and fantastic. They combined video clips taken during our pre nup session 2 months before with the video taken during the day. Then the ‘glued' everything together to the music of Anberlin's "Inevitable"! A perfect recipe for an emotional explosion.... Did that sound right? =) We will be playing this video over and over for a very long time...

Watch the video in this post.

Kris Bacani Make Up Artistry

I don't know how to describe a good make up or how to qualify a good hairdo... But what I do know is that Jen looked incredibly beautiful on our wedding day! You can browse over the pictures below to know what I mean. The other good thing, if not the most important thing, is how incredibly professional and amiable Kris Bacani and her hairstylist, Alex Leyson were! Jen has a sister that has special needs, but Kris and Alex were so comfortable around her. I only have good feedback from our moms and my sister too!

And now, here is  how Jen looked on our wedding day.

At the church...

After a little adjustment, here is a picture of her at the reception

And here is a funny picture of Kris with Jen's sister!

Town's Delight

I’ll go straight to the point.  I loved their food! I knew it since we did the taste test. Mosts guests loved their food too. Although, we can’t really please everybody… each of us has different palate. And luckily, or unluckily, for you the food taste great by my standards. I particularly loved the spare ribs, while Jen loved the pasta. Sad, we didn’t get to eat enough… well because we were preoccupied the whole time. So just before I say anything more, bottom line, their food was both awesome and hearty.

But Town’s Delight didn’t just do food, they “did” the place! Tthe buffet table was fantastic! We said we wanted to make it look vintage so they placed 3 giant morning star mirrors and placed glass busts here and there. The result: a very un-boring buffet table that I wish we actually had the chance to see (our food was served )

Since our motif was black and ivory, they covered the table in white and then placed a black table runner. This made for a very elegant effect. Add the beautiful flower arrangements and our personalized table toppers. The guests seem to stand out… come out of a shadow. But what caught the interest of our guests (the moms at least!) were the crystal chairs. The refracted light from the chairs projected towards the table and the rest of the foyer. From our vantage point, dark background and all, the guests looked like they were sitting on diamonds.

The also filled the place with beautiful flower arrangements of different pastel colors. We actually requested them to put just white flowers… but somehow they changed it. They were probably afraid it would make the whole place monotonous. Anyway, it was a very welcome change for us and what they did was amazing!

Town’s delight was very easy to work with. Gina, our account officer, was  accommodating and shows genuine concern. She made sure she could attend to our requests and if our request is not possible, she will find a way to make up for it. Town’s delight definitely knows this business. Here are more pictures

Fresh Minds Makeup

Fresh Minds was the one who did the make up of the entourage and some of our guests. Fresh Minds is actually a photography studio but they have makeup artists whom Jen booked to do the entourage. The entourage loved how the make up artist made them look!
