My Last Post

Several months ago, when I started this blog, I was was thinking about sharing to other people how we prepared for the best day in our lives. I was hoping, you can get to know us more. I was also thinking, maybe someone, somewhere can get something from all of this...Learn from it. Be inspired by it. One day, maybe a couple would accidentally stumble upon this blog and get ideas on how a wedding is actually done. Its not exactly like we can learn of it from experience =).

But as I was backreading everything I posted, I realized something. More than a blog that other people could "just read", I realized this blog is far more important to us because it's like a letter. A love letter to our older selves.

A love letter to read while we build our home

A love letter to read while we raise our children

A love letter to read when our children leave

A love letter to remember when we can no longer read.

This was how we started our lives together...

To all who visited this blog... Thank you!
To all who went to our wedding... Thank you!
To everyone who loves us and to everyone we love...Thank you!

The Bride

The most beautiful bride in the world!

The Groom

I would like to think I looked ok... Ok? =)

The Family

I can't thank our family enough for their support. I want to post here the message to our parents that we printed on the invitations:

We wouldn't be where we are today and wouldn't have gone this far if it weren't for the love, time and guidance that you have given us. You were so patient when we needed to understand the world. You were our strength when we felt defeated. You were our light. You were our protection. Every step we will take down the aisle is a testament to the kind of parents you have been to us. And no matter where this life takes us, we will never forget the time when your lap was all the comfort we ever needed.

May we always be the fulfillment of your dreams...

Entourage

May I present to you, the entourage. For the guys, I just requested them to wear the classic barong.  While Jen had her full hand on the look of the ladies. They all look so cool right? =) You do know our motif is black and white right?

Anna Liza Sotto

The team we spent a lot of time working with was Anna Liza Sotto and her group: Events Management Services.  I think, this team gave us the most value for money.  We were able to consult with her for so many times even if we only availed of an On the Day package!  I can only imagine how relaxed a couple would be if they availed of her full package. She is always ready to provide us with practical suggestions and she referred us to very good suppliers. To her, all the good suppliers are just a phone call away. Here are some pictures of her staff:

The moment they arrived at the hotel, they briefed  us of what is going to happen for the day. It seems they knew my own wedding more than Jen and I do! They assisted us in dressing up and fixing our rooms. From the hotel, they lead everyone so smoothly that we arrived at the church ahead of the priest. And at the church, they briefed everyone without any tinge of a condescending note. Then  at the reception, you can see that they really tried their best to do what we have requested them to do. Anna, hosted the reception so candidly! She was on top of everything.

Our special day did become special because Anna’s team made it stress free! We did not encounter any major booboo. Small things cropped up here and there but they managed to keep it just that… small. Thanks to their barrage of checklists and registers and receiving copies, it felt ok to just stop thinking about anything else or anyone except ourselves.

Our guests liked them too! Every story they tell us of the wedding, would involve a positive encounter with the team.  And I cannot even begin to tell how honest they were especially that we entrusted them with the payments.

At the end of the wedding , they were the last people to leave the venue, just right before we left. They told us about the things we did not see during the wedding. As I was listening to them, I began to appreciate the hard work we put to make the day perfect. And with Anna and her team around, having a perfect wedding day is not very hard imagine.
