We have been together in the office for 6 years. We worked together, ate together, gone out with some friends together. And yes, we stayed just that -- friends. The ultimate example of a platonic relationship.
Things would have stayed the same between us, but it seems true, that when two people are meant for each other, the whole universe conspires to get them together.
In 2009, there was a significant change in the office. Unexpectedly, this event kind of brought us closer. Pressure at work pushed our true personalities out. And amidst all the stress, we were at the comfort of each other’s company. For several months we would often talk and exchange stories whenever both of us would go on overtime.
One story lead to another...and another. We started to go out and saw each other more often. Next thing we knew, we were spending long drives home. And during these times of being together, we started to see in each other something we hadn’t seen in the past several years.
One night on our way home, we passed by our usual stop over place.
While parked, we talked about many things. But we ended up talking about how we really felt about each other. We just felt right about what was happening. About everything. That night, we decided to give it a try. It was the first hour of June 26, 2010 – and it was the start of something big.
We succumbed to the conspiracy of the universe.
