The "Trip" to Bohol

I would've entitled this post “Honeymoon in Bohol” =) but that would be too cheesy (as if this whole blog is not cheesy by itself haha). So I just titled it “The Trip…”

We were planning to just forego a honeymoon this year as we plan to go to Batanes next year. But my parents gave this vacation to Bohol as a gift to us. Bohol is after all a special place for us or at least for me. It was there where I “crossed the Rubicon”… ok, does anybody still use this term? Anyway, Bohol is a very beautiful place. It is quite a small province but it is jampacked with a charm that is hard to find anywhere else.

We stayed in one of the newest hotels there  - the Bellevue Bohol – for 4 days and 2 nights. The hotel service was amazing, from arrival to our departure. The hotel staff were always smiling and ready to ask if we needed anything. The hotel interiors are very relaxing  and anywhere you look there is always something very interesting to look at. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. And did I mention, the whole hotel has free Wi-Fi! The stay at the Bellevue was worth the flight already =)

While in Bohol we only went for the usual itinerary. We went Island hopping on the second day and a country side tour on the third day.

The island beaches of Bohol, to me, is still the best. The marine life under those beaches are so diverse, it’s a shame we did not have any underwater camera. If you’re going here, don’t forget packs of crackers or bread. They are the surest way to put yourself in the middle of a fish tornado!

The country side tour is very interesting too and we went to such Bohol highlights as the Tarsier Sanctuary, the Baclayon Church, Loboc River and of course the Chocolate Hills!

It was one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve ever had… What, I did title this post as “The Trip to Bohol right?”
